Consultex's patented IQ-140 Rotor Spray System (US Patent 5,795,391 and European Patent 0,796,662 ) represents a significant advance in spray application technology.

Conventional systems use baffles between adjacent rotors in the quest for a uniform spray application. Only a limited percentage of the generated spray is applied to the substrate, the remainder must be discarded or is recycled.

In the IQ-140 system the spray field of each rotor overlaps the spray fields of several adjacent rotors; this produces an inherently uniform spray field. Baffles are not required and fabric to rotor distance does not need to be precisely maintained. A larger percentage of the process liquor is applied to the fabric and less needs to be recycled.
